My doc kept me at 0.5mg for almost 3 months because I was losing well and tolerating it fine. I pushed back a bit because I'd read about faster titration schedules, but looking back I'm glad she slowed it down. Zero serious side effects the whole time. Anyone else had a similar experience with a conservative titration?

Six-month check-in thread for anyone who wants to follow along: Month 1 (0.25mg): Down 11 lbs. Mostly water weight plus the early loss. Nausea was rough days 2-4 after injection but manageable with small meals. Month 2 (0.5mg): Down 8 more lbs. Found my rhythm. Protein first at every meal. Nausea basically gone by week 6. Month 3 (0.5mg still): Stall. 3 weeks, scale didn't move. Measurements did. Pushed through. Month 4 (1mg): Stall broke at the new dose. Down 9 lbs this month. Month 5 (1mg): Steady loss, 6 lbs. Starting to feel like maintenance territory. Month 6 (1mg): Current status. Total: -41 lbs. Energy is excellent. Food relationship completely transformed. Would recommend to anyone who qualifies.

The mental shift is real and nobody talks about it enough. By month 3 I stopped thinking about food constantly. I'd walk past a donut shop and feel nothing. That's not willpower — that's the medication working on a neurological level. I genuinely feel like a different person and it's still a bit surreal.

Full 9-month honest review since I hit my goal weight last week. Started at 312 lbs, currently 224 lbs — 88 lbs down. Semaglutide from month 1-5, switched to tirzepatide at month 5 when I stalled. The switch broke the stall within 3 weeks. Side effects were rough months 1-2. I lost 8 lbs in the first month just because I couldn't eat. Everything improved by month 3 and I found my rhythm: injection Sunday evening, light dinner that night, protein-heavy meals the rest of the week. What I wish I'd known: start strength training immediately. I lost muscle in the first few months and it was hard to rebuild. If I were starting over I'd have a personal trainer from day one. The medication handles the appetite; you have to handle the exercise. Bottom line: this is the most effective thing I've ever done for my health. My A1C dropped from 7.1 to 5.4, my blood pressure is normal, and I sleep better than I have in years. It's a tool, not a magic pill, but it's an extraordinary tool.

Starting the weight-loss log here because I need accountability. Starting weight: 278 lbs. Goal: 195 lbs. Week 1 on 0.25mg semaglutide. No real side effects yet, just a slightly off stomach on injection day. Will update every Monday.

The sulfur burps are embarrassing but Pepto and Gas-X got me through the worst weeks.
